FUNDICIONES BALAGUER SA completes the project “New range of cylinders for grinding high hardness seeds by centrifugal nodular cast iron without heat treatment” co-financed by CDTI.
The company FUNDICIONES BALAGUER SA has completed the project “New range of cylinders for grinding high hardness seeds by centrifugal nodular cast iron without heat treatment”, with acronym NEWROLLNST, thanks to the aid of the Centre for Industrial Technological Development (CDTI) of the Ministry of Industry, Economy and Competitiveness, co-financed by the European Union (ERDF Funds) through the Operational Programme for Intelligent Growth (2014-2020).
This project started in January 2019, when the R&D staff, in their research efforts, set themselves the objective of researching and developing a new range of high hardness seed milling cylinders, based on centrifugal nodular cast iron in a metal shell without heat treatment. In doing so, they have taken a strategic leap forward by expanding their product range.
After 18 months of work at the Onil plant and with a CDTI contribution of €254,731.89, the company has achieved its technological challenge.
